music in 2009

2009 was such a fantastic year for music industry,
we have La Roux, Passion Pit and MGMT - they have made many people are into electro nowadays, and then we have already established bands (but dear, i just discovered them last year! what a shame!) like Kings of Leon, Phoenix, Camera Obscura, Grizzly Bear, Animal Collective, The Raveonettes and etc, our local scene also something to be proud of, 'Kelibat Si Penyair' by Azlan and the Typewriter is totally a song you should dig weh! and then we have Oh Chentaku's latest album, Joanna & Co is not bad though and also should check out The Rhaman, a band from Malacca

so here i produce my top 10 album of 2009 (not in a particular order, cos it is hard to pick the top)

5. Kasabian - West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum (UK) [and i saw them live at MTV World Stage!]
6. Mew - No More Stories Are Told Today, They Have Washed Away (Denmark)
7. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - It's Blitz (US)
8. Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavillion (US)
9. Metric - Fantasies (Canada)
10. Lily Allen - It's Not Me, It's You (UK)
